Positions Supervised: None
Work Schedule: 240-day contract. Hours are typically 7:30-4:00 daily with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. However, the daily schedule may vary depending on the needs of the district.

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide technical support for the operation of district computer systems.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Assist with network installations and configurations.
• Maintain familiarity with multiple computer environments.
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with teachers and staff.
• Work effectively to prioritize repair tickets and respond to issues in a timely manner.
• Practice and exhibit quality workmanship and pride-in-ownership in the execution of all operating and maintenance duties including the proper care of all district property.
• Perform on-site and remote technical support for technology and related systems.
• Assist in the organization and inventory of all related hardware and software resources.
• Maintain communication with the Technology Director concerning all tasks and projects.
• Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement.
• Diagnose hardware and software problems of related systems and replace defective components.
• Research new technologies and make recommendations for implementation.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Have knowledge of standard of premise wiring practices and practice safety in the use of ladders, drills, and other equipment.
• Work in conjunction with the Network Engineer Team and the Systems Administrator Team.
• Maintain communication with vendors for warranty and repair services.
• Provide user account management in accordance with systems policies.
• Deliver and set up new equipment.
• Adhere to all policies of the District.
• Report to the proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.
• Report suspected bullying to building principal or designee as required by Arkansas law and district policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Technology Director or Assistant Technology Director.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Information Technology or related field


Experience: Previous experience as a computer field support technician preferred.


Computer Skills: Shall be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency with computers and programs associated with the position.

3. Current Arkansas driver's license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most job responsibilities for this position are performed in an indoor school environment that is temperature controlled (heated and cooled) according to the season. Noise levels are mostly low to moderate.
